We are creating a new paradigm with a first‑in‑class therapy in Autoimmune Diabetes (Type 1 Diabetes). Our newest core asset, resulting from the acquisition of Prevention Bio, aims at delaying the onset of stage 3 type 1 diabetes, giving people at risk fresh hope and more time for children to enjoy a care‑free childhood. The delay also provides families and healthcare professionals more time to prepare care plans.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary scientific leader to serve as an MSL with expertise in T1D. This role combines deep scientific expertise with strategic thinking to enhance the identification and management of people at risk of developing T1D, emphasizing the benefits of early detection and the use of new immunomodulators.
Main Responsibilities
Scientific Leadership & KOL Engagement
Serve as a trusted scientific partner to key external experts (KOLs, endocrinologists, pediatricians, and other stakeholders), establishing and maintaining robust, long‑term peer relationships.
Conduct high‑touch scientific exchange with experts from Centers of Excellence to convey a compelling scientific narrative on T1D disease stages, importance of screening, and treatment.
Engage with experts to share scientific data, answer product‑specific questions, and support them in developing best practices (e.g., infusion protocols).
Link internal partners to external thought leaders for education and research collaboration.
Disseminate innovative medical education materials and foster medical/scientific information exchange within the medical community.
Tailor engagement to different stakeholder segments based on comprehensive stakeholder mapping and local go‑to‑market model.
Work with cross‑functional teams to leverage an omnichannel approach, orchestrating high‑touch and personalized engagement across innovative channels (social media, peer‑to‑peer communities, online portals).
Early Detection Strategy
Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement evidence‑based screening and monitoring protocols.
Provide scientific expertise in the development of risk‑identification strategies.
Support the adaptation of global screening and monitoring strategies to local contexts.
Contribute to the scientific validation of new testing methodologies and channels.
Engage with experts to promote best practices in screening and early intervention.
Promote experience sharing among key external experts to reinforce consensus on screening and treatment protocols at local level.
Strategic Implementation
Partner with cross‑functional teams in agile settings to improve patient pathways and remove barriers.
Provide scientific input on screening partnerships and initiatives.
Gather and analyze field insights to inform medical strategy and screening programs.
Support Market Access teams in evidence‑based discussions with regional payers, drug formulary committees, and key account decision‑makers on clinical value and health economics.
Coordinate and direct requests for ISS, RCT, Managed Access Programs to appropriate teams.
Keep up‑to‑date on medical and scientific developments in the Type 1 Diabetes field.
Individual Contributors
Maintain knowledge of and comply with the principles of Ethics and Integrity, Sanofi policies, and codes of conduct that regulate the pharmaceutical market.

About you
Minimum 5 years experience as an MSL in a specialty / rare disease / Type 1 Diabetes area.
Experience in T1D or immunology highly preferred.
Background in clinical research or academic setting.
Experience with population health initiatives or screening programs is a plus.
