Protect the Digital World as a Cybersecurity Research Intern
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team of cybersecurity researchers. As a key member of our Global Research & Analysis Team, you will play a critical role in assisting with research projects, developing processes, defining priorities, following deadlines, delivering materials, and sharing knowledge with the right teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support research projects by analyzing and understanding malicious code, including Windows PE, .Net, OLE2, JS, VBS, HTML, PDF, SWF, ELF, and Linux OS distributions.
* Develop processes and define priorities for research projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Analyze and understand malware threats affecting customers, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
* Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders using clear and concise language.
* Participate in the development of unit standards and practices, assuming responsibility for group goals and contributing to the growth of the team.
* Suggest ideas for new detection technologies, develop prototypes, and create content to share with the team.
* Present security information to various audiences, including customers, internal sales, and external partners.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
* Strong desire to learn and share knowledge with teammates.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
* Proficiency in x86/x64 Intel Assembly, WinAPI, and executable file analysis tools (e.g., IDA Disassembler, HIEW, OllyDbg, Windbg).
* Experience in programming languages (Python, C#, C, C++), with a strong foundation in software development principles.
* Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Hobby experience in malware analysis, reverse engineering, or threat intelligence.
* Good presentation and technical article writing skills.
* Experience in developing tools and documentation for other researchers.
* Understanding of the IT Security industry and business landscape.
