We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Professional with a strong background in the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive data governance strategies, frameworks, and operating models tailored to the unique needs of financial services clients.
* Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures for data quality, data classification, data privacy, data security, data retention, and data lifecycle management.
* Ensure client data governance programs align with relevant financial industry regulations and compliance requirements.
* Establish and support data stewardship roles and responsibilities, facilitating data ownership across various business functions.
* Lead initiatives for metadata management, including business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
* Develop and implement data quality rules, metrics, monitoring processes, and remediation plans to ensure high data integrity and reliability.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* 8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles, with at least 5 years specifically within the financial services industry (banking, capital markets, insurance).
* In-depth knowledge of financial industry regulations and reporting requirements related to data.
* Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maturing enterprise-level data governance programs.
* Strong understanding of data management concepts, including data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data architecture, and data warehousing.
* Experience with data governance tools and platforms.
