We are looking for a Java Tech Lead – Corporate Banking & Digital Transformation to join our team and work on large-scale transformation initiatives within the banking sector.
This professional will play a key role in the modernization of corporate banking platforms, enterprise integration ecosystems, and mission-critical applications, combining hands-on technical leadership with strong architectural and stakeholder management capabilities.
💼 Java Tech Lead – Corporate Banking & Digital Transformation
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-grade backend solutions using Java and modern software engineering practices.
* Drive technical decisions ensuring scalability, resilience, security, maintainability, and performance.
* Design and implement microservices architectures and distributed systems.
* Lead integration initiatives between banking platforms, third-party solutions, digital channels, and enterprise systems.
* Define integration strategies involving APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and enterprise connectivity.
* Lead modernization and migration programs, including legacy transformation, cloud adoption, platform evolution, and monolith-to-microservices initiatives.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
* Promote engineering best practices, coding standards, testing strategies, observability, and DevOps principles.
* Mentor and support development teams, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions and intelligent automation initiatives.
* Support Agile delivery processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
💻 Technical Requirements:
* Previous experience working in consulting environments or client-facing technology projects.
* 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on Java backend development.Proven experience leading technical teams and driving architectural decisions in complex environments.
* Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Distributed Systems.
* Solid experience designing and implementing Integration Architectures, APIs, asynchronous communication patterns, and enterprise connectivity solutions.
* Experience with Event-Driven Architectures and Messaging Platforms.
* Proven experience leading modernization and migration initiatives, including:
* Legacy System Transformation
* Cloud Migrations
* Platform Modernization
* Architecture Evolution Programs
* Experience delivering complex transformation initiatives within Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise environments.
* Strong understanding of Software Architecture principles and Design Patterns, including:
* Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
* Hexagonal Architecture
* Clean Architecture
* Experience with Cloud-Native Environments, Containers, CI/CD Pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
* Knowledge of Software Quality, Testing Strategies, Secure Development Practices, and Observability.
* Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
⭐ Nice to Have:
* Experience in Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, or highly regulated financial environments.
* Familiarity with banking integration standards and protocols such as:
* ISO 20022
* SWIFT
* Open Banking
* Host-to-Host
* Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming technologies.
* Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud platforms.
* Knowledge of Reactive Programming and modern Java capabilities.
* Exposure to Artificial Intelligence initiatives, LLM integrations, intelligent automation, or AI-enabled business solutions.
* Experience working in international and multicultural teams.
