Database Administrator - You will be responsible for managing all oracle databases and applications, all database objects, tuning, cloning, patching, and replication. Work Schedule: For the first six months, this role will work a standard 9:00 AM6:00 PM BRT schedule. After the initial six-month period, the schedule will transition to 4:00 AM 1:00 PM BRT. Responsibilities:- Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, pre-prod and production usage. - Install new versions of the Oracle database in cluster and standalone environments. - Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database. - Plan, configure Disaster Recovery environment using Data Guard, and perform Disaster Recovery test. - Controls migration of programs, database changes, reference data changes through the development life cycle- Implement operational automation using Ansible and shell scripting. - Perform complex performance turning and optimization for operational efficiency. - Utilizing tuning utilities and reports such as AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQLT, SQL Tuning Advisor, SQL tracing and analysis, and database event tracing. - Perform frequent database refreshes and migrations. - Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the database. - Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures. - Discover and implement performance and uptime improvement strategies. - Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects. - Leverage Oracle expertise and knowledge by providing PLSQL tuning recommendations to developers. - Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for various Production support & database maintenance activities. Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree or higher in Information System, Computer Science or work equivalent- Proven 5 to 7 years of Oracle DBA experience. - A minimum of 5 years of database support and design experience and migration/upgrade experience with Oracle. - 3 years of experience administering Oracle RAC environments. - Experience working with Oracle RAC cluster and 19c database, preferable with multi-tenant architecture. - Work experience with installing and supporting Golden Gate, and configuring GoldenGate to be used as replication tool. - Experience in installation, configuration and marinating Oracle RAC in Virtualized (VM) environment. - Experience in building a DR database using DataGuard, and experience in planning and supporting Disaster Recovery testing. - Working knowledge of Cloud infrastructure such as AWS Or OCI- A good knowledge of LINUX and Windows operating system(s)- Experience in Ansible or similar configuration management tools is desirable. - Good knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios. - A good knowledge & experience in using and configuring OEM- Experience and knowledge in migrating code, database changes and data through the various stages of the development life cycle.
