A previous year’s interactive report highlights asset allocation patterns and rankings for institutional and retail investors.The OpportunityWe now have a part-time opportunity for an Independent Consultant to work with NMG on our Global Asset Management Study in Brazil. This program requires executive-style interviews with key decision makers who are involved in investment strategy and fund selection. The interview cycle runs during August to December and may occur annually thereafter. This position suits a highly experienced and self-motivated individual with a strong understanding of asset management in Brazil. This is a rare opportunity to be involved in a progressive consulting engagement in asset management on a flexible working basis.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSuccess in this role includes:Conduct 10 or more interviews with decision makers who influence investment decisions, including fund manager liaison and selection, in wholesale asset management in Brazil (e.g., retail or private banks, discretionary asset managers, life insurers, fund platforms, fund research houses, multi-managers and independent financial advisers)Utilise your network to identify executives appropriate to participate in the studySupport NMG’s strategy and insights practice by understanding key themes and insights from the research study and sharing findings with participantsYOUR EXPERIENCEThe successful candidate for this role will most likely be retired or semi-retired but still seeking to remain in contact with the asset management industry. They should ideally demonstrate these abilities:10+ years of experience in the asset management industry with an existing network within the Brazil wholesale/retail asset management industryAbility to form relationships and gauge the thinking of key decision makersStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work effectively with a global team of consultantsExcellent attention to detail and high-quality standardsFluency in the local language and EnglishIt is envisioned that this role will be performed on a contract basis, over several days per week for a period of 3 to 4 months, with the potential to contribute on an annual basis.ABOUT NMGThe NMG Group is a global advisory and intermediary firm focused exclusively on the financial services sector.
