Job Overview
The Public Relations Manager is responsible for managing the company's internal and external public relations, shaping and maintaining a positive corporate image through strategic communication, media relations, and reputation management. This role ensures information consistency, credibility, and impact in a rapidly changing public opinion environment, supporting brand building, business development, and crisis management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Public Relations Strategy and Communication Planning
Develop and execute the company's overall public relations and communication strategy
Plan annual/quarterly public relations plans, aligned with brand and business objectives
Manage core messages, brand positioning, and communication guidelines
2. Media Relations Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with mainstream media, industry media, and opinion leaders
Plan and execute press releases, media interviews, and news writing and distribution
Monitor media coverage effectiveness and continuously optimize communication strategies
3. Content and External Communication
Responsible for external public relations content (press releases, statements, speeches, Q&A, etc.)
Ensure external information is accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand tone
Support executive and spokesperson external communication and media training
4. Reputation and Crisis Management
Monitor public opinion and feedback, identifying potential reputational risks
Develop and execute crisis communication plans and respond quickly to emergencies
Collaborate with legal and management teams to handle sensitive issues appropriately
5. Events and Public Affairs (depending on job scope)
Organize press conferences, media briefings, industry forums, and other public relations events
Support government relations, industry associations, or CSR-related communications
Collaborate with marketing, social media, and content teams for integrated communication
6. Management and Evaluation
Manage public relations budget, external public relations agencies, or vendors
Evaluate the effectiveness of public relations activities and report to management
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
5+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or media-related work
Excellent writing, communication, and media judgment skills
Familiarity with traditional and new media communication environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in industry public relations or public company public relations
Experience in crisis public relations or handling major public opinion incidents
Familiarity with government affairs or industry association communication
English public relations writing and communication skills
