Audio Editor Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Audio Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of editing long-form podcasts and possessing strong editorial judgment.
* Edit raw podcast audio into polished, broadcast-ready episodes
* Remove filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents
* Improve pacing, clarity, and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent
* Restructure sections when needed based on how questions were answered
* Add intro/outro, sponsor reads, disclaimers, or updates as required
* Follow embedded audio notes and written instructions carefully
* Deliver clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline
* Produce 3–4 short clips per episode for marketing use
* Support up to two rounds of edits per episode when requested
Key responsibilities include:
1. Podcast Editing: Edit raw podcast audio into polished, broadcast-ready episodes.
2. Sound Quality Enhancement: Remove filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents.
3. Content Restructuring: Restructure sections when needed based on how questions were answered.
4. Intro and Outro Addition: Add intro/outro, sponsor reads, disclaimers, or updates as required.
5. Audio File Delivery: Deliver clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline.
6. Marketing Content Creation: Produce 3–4 short clips per episode for marketing use.
7. Client Support: Support up to two rounds of edits per episode when requested.
