As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Java Tech Lead to join our team in São Paulo (Hybrid model). If you are excited about backend architecture, engineering excellence, and leading impactful projects, this opportunity is for you.
What You'll Do
Lead the design and implementation of backend technical solutions using Java and SpringBoot, with a microservices-based architecture.
Ensure adherence to architectural frameworks, coding standards, and best practices.
Implement monitoring, alerts, metrics, and testing strategies to ensure software robustness, security, and performance.
Maintain and evolve complex systems with a focus on scalability, resilience, and high availability.
Mentor developers and foster a high-quality engineering culture.
Support Agile delivery processes and product development cycles.
Must-Have Qualifications
Mandatory consulting background: prior experience working at a consulting firm (management/technology/financial services consulting) in client-facing projects.
6+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Java .
Proven expertise with: SpringBoot, SpringCloud, Event-Driven Architecture, Kafka, Redis HA, Exadata, and MQ.
Advanced knowledge in:
Hexagonal Architecture
Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
Reactive and Functional Programming
Java 21
Experience with: OpenShift, GitHub Workflows, CI/CD, REST APIs, Unit Testing
S3, XML/XSD
Security and Quality Gates (SAST, DAST)
API-first design, integration flows, and resilience patterns.
Solid understanding of distributed systems and banking message standards (MX, MT).
Fluency in English is required.
Strong soft skills: leadership, communication, accountability, adaptability, teamwork, and mentoring capabilities.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of tools such as: Ansible Tower, Grafana, Prometheus, Sonar, Keycloak, APIConnect .
Experience with transactional banking systems and cash flow solutions.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and high-performance API development.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
