Strategic Technology Leader
This is a visionary role that requires a strong leader to drive our technology and product strategy. As a CTO/Head of Engineering, you will guide our tech and product direction, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a culture of growth and servant leadership.
This is a hybrid role combining strategic leadership with hands-on involvement. Approximately 25–30% of the time will be dedicated to implementation and debugging, while the remaining focus will be on system architecture, technical direction, and guiding internal teams.
We are transitioning from in-house backend development to a third-party tech provider to enhance scalability, security, and performance while reducing bugs and maintenance overhead. This is a strategic shift that allows us to focus on front-end improvements, marketing experiments, and product innovation.
As a CTO/Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for:
* Technology & Product Strategy – Define and execute a long-term technology roadmap aligned with business goals and innovation.
* Leadership & Growth – Inspire, mentor, and empower teams to drive effective execution.
* Product Ownership & Execution – Oversee product evolution, ensuring front-end and API development supports user experience, marketing agility, and growth initiatives.
* Security & Scalability – Ensure site security, performance, and scalability by working with our third-party technology partner while keeping internal processes efficient.
* Technical Escalation & Support – Provide backup for critical issues and guide troubleshooting, ensuring smooth collaboration with third-party providers.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration – Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations to leverage technology for business impact.
* Vendor & Partner Management – Manage relationships with external tech providers to maximize efficiency, reliability, and innovation.

This is a full-time, remote contract position requiring 35-40 hours per week. Each applicant is required to successfully complete a paid trial period before transitioning to this role.
