About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Coordinator to join our Finance team and lead critical tax operations across the business. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations, optimizing tax efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making.
What You'll Do
* Lead and manage the company's tax compliance processes, including preparation and submission of tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.).
* Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax-related documentation in accordance with local, state, and international regulations (ECF, EFD Contribuições, EFD Fiscal, REINF, DCTF, DCTFWeb, DAPI, GIA ST).
* Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company's tax position.
* Coordinate and support tax audits, working closely with auditors and tax authorities.
* Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize savings and mitigate risks.
* Provide tax guidance to internal stakeholders on business transactions and new projects.
* Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations for all tax accounts.
* Oversee invoice registration processes (accounts payable and receivable).
* Lead and develop a team of 4 tax professionals.
Requirements
* Deep understanding of tax regulations (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, transfer pricing).
* Experience with tax compliance software and ERP systems (Sankhya is a plus).
* Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
* Ability to interpret and apply tax legislation to real-world business scenarios.
* Proven experience managing tax audits and assessments.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CRC (Brazilian Accountant Certificate) is preferred.
* Postgraduate studies or certifications in Taxation are a plus.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proactive mindset with a passion for staying current on tax laws.
* Leadership and team coordination experience.
* Experience in tax compliance, planning, or related roles.
* Experience handling both local and international tax matters.
* Experience leading teams.
* Advanced English (mandatory).
