Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Urban and Regional Development Expert to join our team for short-term assignments on various European Investment Bank (EIB) priorities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of professional experience in regional and urban development, urban buildings and social infrastructure, economic development, and disaster risk management.
The selected expert will work on projects related to transition to climate-neutral economies, environmental sustainability, carbon-neutral cities, land use and transport integration, sustainable urban mobility plans, smart cities, eco-districts, brownfield regeneration, cultural heritage, urban/regional climate mitigation & adaptation, and territorial governance mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct needs assessments and develop project proposals for EIB-funded projects.
* Provide technical assistance to beneficiaries in the implementation of EIB-funded projects.
* Develop and implement capacity-building programs for beneficiaries.
* Monitor and evaluate project progress and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
* Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as urban planning, economics, environmental science, or public administration.
* At least 10 years of professional experience in regional and urban development, urban buildings and social infrastructure, economic development, and disaster risk management.
* Excellent command of English (CEFR C1).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
