We're looking for an experienced JIRA Developer to help us administer and develop the system used by all Engineering teams in the organization, making it critical and very important for all. You'll work with senior managers to set up an agile development process within the new ticketing system and establish processes for our common source code system. You'll then collaborate with all Engineering and Operations teams to demonstrate the new processes and systems, assisting in migrating their current processes into the new system. Additionally, you'll work with various development teams, both locally and offshore, to implement automation that supports our development and testing teams. You will also play a key role in defining guidelines for future enhancements to ensure the systems continue to benefit our engineering teams.The Atlassian Developer is responsible for the administration, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and integrations with other tools or plugins.Responsibilities :Administer JIRA (Core and Software), Confluence, and formulate technical solutions using JIRA and associated plugins/Atlassian products.Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports as needed.Create custom workflows, post functions, validators.Modify workflows, screens, fields, and reporting.Oversee the architecture of the entire system and recommend improvements.Migrate existing systems to a new central system.Provide first-level support for system issues.Define and maintain SLAs and processes, including server uptime and consistency.Set development guidelines for custom integrations or plugins and collaborate with development teams to adhere to them.Review and approve new plugins or custom developments for the core system.Define and socialize the roadmap for system enhancements with other teams.Manage development of key system-wide customizations.Mentor, guide, and train current Jira Administrators within the organization.Define and train users on best practices.Mandatory Skills :BS degree in engineering with at least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and testing.At least 2 years of experience with Jira, developing custom plugins, and integrations using the Atlassian SDK.Hands-on experience with JIRA Core or JIRA Software, Crowd, and Confluence.Over 2 years of experience working on Linux systems.Over 2 years of experience working with AWS.Knowledge of both traditional and Agile software development methodologies.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.Nice-to-Have Skills :Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, including team leadership roles.Experience with multiple Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and related tooling (Jira, Confluence).Proficiency with git-based repositories like Bitbucket and GitHub.Extensive knowledge of AWS services and modules.Certified Administrator for Atlassian Data Center and Cloud products (Jira preferred).
