**What does a Business Analyst at ORTEC do?
**
You will play an important role in the implementation of ORTEC software at medium to large customers.
In this role, you will interact frequently with the project teams on the customer side and ORTEC's support teams overseas.
In general, you will be involved in one to three projects at a time.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand business needs
- Work closely with the ORTEC project manager, Lead Business Analyst, and Solution Architect during the different stages of a software implementation life cycle:
- Import and export master data
- Create interfaces using SQL, XML, and XSL
- Configure the software and effectively deploy it on various customer environments
- Configure the front-end (GUI) of the software
- Tweak and tune the software based on customer requirements
- Create and execute internal test scenarios
- Support System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing
- Conduct Training (train-the-trainer, technical training)
- Prepare user documentation
- Analyze reported defects in the software and troubleshoot
- Support Go live and Hypercare
- Transition project to Global Customer Support
- Work closely with other ORTEC teams (support, product development, and sales), customer IT and business teams, and 3rd party organizations to ensure successful project completion and high customer satisfaction.
- Recognize commercial opportunities and share ideas about project and product improvement.
You will work from your home office or our office in Rio.
Travel needs depend on the project; customer visits are common.

You have an educational and professional background that includes a (Bachelor's / Master's) degree in a field related to
- Industrial Engineering
- (Applied) Mathematics
- Business/Management Information systems
- Operations Research
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
**Requirements**:
- 2-6 years of relevant work experience
- Good general IT knowledge
- Prior experience with business software is preferred
- Knowledge in most of the following: SQL, XML/XSL, JIRA, GIT, Excel, any programming language
- General understanding of supply chain and logistics

- Able to communicate effectively in English to all levels in a highly professional manner (customers, management, business and technical personnel)
