The position we're offering is for an intern who will be working on various research projects related to cybersecurity, focusing on malware analysis and reverse engineering.
* This includes developing processes, defining priorities, following deadlines, delivering material, and sharing with the right teams.
* You'll also be responsible for keeping current with the latest malware threats affecting our customers.
* Another key aspect of this role is communicating with clients over email about adding detections.
* We're looking for someone who can participate in the development of unit recommended practices and standards, take responsibility for group goals, and assume ownership of their work.
* You'll have the opportunity to suggest new ideas for company products, prototype development, and implement innovative detection technologies.
* This role involves creating content, such as threat intelligence reports and documentation on various topics.
* Presenting about IT security to different audiences is also a part of this job.
* Monitoring, analyzing, and understanding malware trends at local, regional, and global levels is another crucial task.
In terms of skills and qualifications, we're looking for someone with a strong desire to learn and share their research with teammates. They should have an interest in malware analysis and security research.
* A deep knowledge of x86/x64 Intel Assembly (at least 1 year) is required.
* Basics of WinAPI are expected.
* Familiarity with using IDA Disassembler, HIEW, OllyDbg, or Windbg to analyze PE files (at least 1 year) is necessary.
* Executable file analysis skills in a hexadecimal editor are essential.
* Good knowledge of several areas, including mobile device security and mobile malware, statistical analysis, methods of protection against threats, security best practices, polymorphic malware, rootkits/bootkits, and more, is desired.
* The ability to analyze and understand non-standard threats and good knowledge of file formats are also important.
* Excellent knowledge of malicious code analysis, Linux OS distributions, and Windows PE file format is required.
* Some experience in programming languages like Python, C#, C, C++ is beneficial.
* Fluency in English is mandatory.
It would be great if you also had some hobby experience, good communication skills, presentation skills, technical article writing skills, experience in developing tools and documentation, understanding of the IT Security industry and business, and high ethical standards.
