IT Support Specialist Role
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge and communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, systems, and networks for all employees, both onsite and remote.
Servicing as the first point of contact for internal IT support requests, providing timely troubleshooting and resolution for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices is a key aspect of this role.
This position involves managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various SaaS platforms, supporting the deployment and integration of new productivity and collaboration tools.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining endpoint security, including antivirus, firewalls, VPNs, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
In addition, you will assist with cloud infrastructure management, data backup, and disaster recovery planning, conduct regular software updates, security patching, and vulnerability assessments.
Supporting cybersecurity initiatives, including employee security awareness training and incident response is also an essential part of this role.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
A strong foundation in computer systems, networks, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and cloud platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) is required.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical users.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience/certifications) is necessary for this role.
