Your role
The Lead Designer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Be part of Atkins Middle East delivery team.
Liaise with the Lead Project Offices (LPOs) and the GTC Multi Discipline team.
Assist in delivering a range of projects related to infrastructure utilities design and planning.
Knowledge of multidisciplinary projects to comply with the relevant CAD/BIM Standards.
Develop project deliverables, particularly drawings and reports in accordance with client scope, budget, and quality requirements.
Skills
8-10 years in AutoCAD Civil 3D, detailing experience involving MV, LV, street lighting, telecom, ICT, gravity and pressure networks.
Extensive experience of detailing dry and wet infrastructure utilities.
Coordination with subconsultants and design engineers.
Prepare and check drawings (layouts, long sections, schedules, typical drawings).
Evaluate engineering alternatives and resolve technical issues.
Plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner.
Review and prepare preliminary sketches/drawings etc. as per the markup provided by the engineers.
Create, edit, and label alignments, Civil 3D parcels, and corridors.
Create feature lines and surfaces.
Prepare and check plans and profiles of utilities including creation of pipe networks, editing, and changing parts and styles (catch basins, manholes, fire hydrants, etc).
Support in utility clash resolution activities (Navisworks/Civil 3D/Revit).
Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments.
Experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment.
Communicate and coordinate on assigned tasks with multi‑discipline teams.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years experience in modelling and design.
