What We Need We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Discord Moderator to cultivate a thriving and engaged community of sports bettors and gaming enthusiasts. This role is crucial in building a strong community foundation, fostering user loyalty, and driving trading volume on our platform. Reporting to the Community Development Lead, the ideal candidate will have experience building communities in sports betting and web3. Responsibilities Community Management: Actively participate in and moderate Discord channels, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for web2 and web3 gamers and sports fans. User Support: Provide timely and informative responses to user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering assistance, especially during featured live sports events. Web3 Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of Web3 trends and tools like wallets. Customer Service: Apply exceptional customer service skills to build strong relationships with community members. Content Moderation: Moderate user-generated content to ensure it meets community standards. Enforce guidelines and Discord's terms of service, addressing violations quickly and fairly. Data Analysis: Analyze community engagement metrics and provide insights to inform community strategy. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and community teams to develop engaging community initiatives and grow our betting community. Crisis Management: Communicate effectively and manage community crises or negative events like platform bugs. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in community facing roles, preferably in the gaming or sports industry. Proven track record as a Discord moderator or community manager. Expertise in web3 trends, trading, and cryptocurrencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in using Discord and other relevant community management tools. Passion for gaming and a genuine interest in building online communities. Fluent in English Bonus points if you have: Knowledge of Football, Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Football League (NFL) top teams and players Knowledge of popular gaming titles and large esports tournaments Experience in building sports betting communities Familiarity with Slack Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese
