Patent Paralegal Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patent Paralegal Project Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position that requires strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing patent filing requests, working closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, within scope, and to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include preparing all documents required in connection with EP, PCT, and foreign applications, proactively initiating the preparation of responses to official communications and notifications, coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications, and monitoring all assigned cases to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare all documents required in connection with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Proactively initiate the preparation of responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinate filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Monitor all assigned cases and proactively ensure that all related deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Essential Skills and Required Experience:
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* SIGNIFICANT experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A successful track record of successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
