Description Overview and Main Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Regional Sales Leader of Direct Sales Central, there is a vacancy for a District Sales Manager (DSM) who will join the sales team of the region.
* Responsible for effective management of the Commercial Representatives (RCs) team and the direct sales strategy for the Row Crops portfolio of Corteva and Pioneer seeds, implementing and developing the district's direct sales plan in the SWE Goiano.
* The candidate must have excellent experience in people management, implementing direct sales strategies to large clients, and good technical knowledge in Crop Protection and Seeds, in soybean, corn, and sorghum crops.
* The position's focus is to meet the district's sales targets, develop the market, and design business planning with the RCs. The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients is a key criterion for selection.
Functional Responsibilities
* Planning and executing all sales activities;
* People management – developing RCs;
* Managing the direct sales client list and monitoring each RC's sales evolution;
* Managing large farmers;
* Ensuring implementation and execution of the sales plan;
* Connecting departments for problem resolution;
* Implementing field tactics and demand generation;
* Managing internal processes;
* Responsibility for accounts receivable performance and achieving set goals (current DSO, %);
* Ensuring proper product management, compliance with Corteva policies, sales processes, and company policies;
* Building trustful relationships with RCs and clients.
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Marketing, Finance, Administration, or related fields;
* Experience in leadership roles;
* Minimum of 5 years in sales management;
* Understanding of agricultural production and market knowledge;
* Customer focus with interpersonal skills to quickly build reliable and strong relationships;
* Flexibility and resilience;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Motivated and results-oriented, also a team player;
* Good skills in Data Management, report preparation, and corporate presentations to clients and RCs.
