The platform includes pre-accelerators, accelerators, corporate programming, conferences and fellowships focused on entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, startups and job seekers. This role is for a PR Specialist to elevate awareness of our programs and partnerships through storytelling, proactive media outreach, and account management. The PR Specialist will handle a high volume of requests, triage, prioritize, and execute PR deliverables that create measurable value for partner accounts and raise the profile of gener8tor programming.Reporting to the VP of Business Development, the role will work closely with the Marketing team and collaborate with product line leaders to support programs including OnRamp Conference, gBETA Pre-Accelerators, gener8tor Investment Accelerators, Skills Accelerators, and Creative Music. The PR Specialist contributes to the overall communications strategy and ensures timely execution of PR initiatives.ResponsibilitiesOwn PR intake and account management for partner accounts: triage requests from Partnerships/program leads/external partners, translate goals into PR briefs, set timelines and SLAs, and keep stakeholders updated.Plan and execute account-specific PR campaigns that elevate gener8tor programming and deliver value for partner accounts (applications, attendance, thought leadership, brand lift).Draft co-branded press materials (press releases, media advisories, pitches, talking points, bylines, case studies) aligned with gener8tor and partner brand guidelines.Proactively pitch stories to media relevant to each partner's industry and program focus; secure coverage that drives program KPIs and expands partner visibility.Coordinate media moments around program milestones to showcase partner collaboration and program success.Maintain account-facing reporting (coverage, reach, message pull-through, backlinks, SOV) and translate results into actionable next steps for partners and program teams.Build and maintain targeted media lists mapped to partner industries; cultivate reporter relationships on behalf of our accounts.Package earned media for amplification (social, newsletters, web) in collaboration with Design/Social/Web teams.Uphold partner approval workflows (legal/brand/PR) and maintain a clean CRM/PRM with account-level tracking, contacts, and follow-ups.Support issues/crisis communications affecting partners or programs with clear escalation and pre-approved messaging.Manage multiple projects and a high volume of asks while meeting SLAs and deadlines; continuously improve processes to deliver reliable value to accounts and raise the profile of gener8tor programming.RequirementsProficient English – Level C1–C2.2+ years in public relations, communications, or agency account work (startup, VC, tech, creative, or corporate-innovation experience a plus).Demonstrated success placing stories and running PR campaigns; strong reporter and creator relationships preferred.Exceptional writing and editing skills with clear, concise, on-brand messaging.Proven account management capability: high-volume inbox management, prioritization, stakeholder communications, and on-time delivery.Familiarity with PR tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater), project tools (e.g., Asana, Trello), CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and Google Workspace.Strong attention to detail; excellent time management and organizational skills.Comfort collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, and program leads.Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, or related field (preferred).Event support experience (press check-ins, on-site coordination, speaker prep) (a plus).Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter; commitment to equity across race, place, and gender.A "no job is beneath me" mentality.ApplyTo apply, please fill out the form below.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionMarketing, Public Relations, and Writing/EditingIndustriesVenture Capital and Private Equity Principals
