The Team
The Business Data Architecture team manages Accenture’s integrated data model and provides global services to alter and maintain Accenture data for organizational and economic model changes, acquisitions, new clients, ad hoc initiatives, and assesses the impacts that change will have on global processes and applications for proper testing and execution.
This role
The Data Governance Lead role is a cornerstone for ensuring data integrity and compliance across our organization. This position safeguards adherence to governance policies, manages regulatory assessments, and keeps Collibra, the backbone of our data governance framework, accurate and up to date. The role also coordinates the maintenance of metadata repositories, data dictionaries, inventory of processes, documentation and procedures. Beyond governance, the role collaborates in critical cross-BDA initiatives, aligning timelines, deliverables, and testing for projects with significant business impact. Last but not least, it is responsible of driving data quality enhancements, acting as a strategic connector between sub-teams, fostering collaboration, mitigating risks, and ensuring seamless delivery of data products and compliance objectives.
Main Responsibilities
BDA Data Governance Lead
Define data ownership and stewardship roles for Collibra
Maintain metadata repositories and data dictionaries in Collibra
Maintain Status of tables in Collibra
Update BDS and BDO roles in Collibra
Develop and maintain data governance documentation, standards, and procedures (Example: Inventory of Processes, Inventory of Tools, Business Impact Assessment, Data governance Documentation)
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Monitor adherence to data governance policies and support compliance assessments
Data Products: Usage Agreements. Coordination with requestors and testers; delivered internal training for the BDA Team
Special Projects Coordination
Support cross-BDA initiatives with impact to master data by providing awareness, manage project timelines, deliverables and testing
Contribute to enhancements of existing Data Quality reports
Collaborate with MRDR in the creation of Master Data Input Tool, gathering requirements and managing the project on BDA side
