Overview
tl;dv is seeking a Brand Designer to join as a part-time freelance contributor (5–20 hours per week) with a clear path to a full-time role within 12 months based on impact. This is a remote-first position with worldwide applicants. The role reports to the Founder/Marketing/Head of Design.
What You'll Do
Own day-to-day marketing design: ad creatives, product marketing animations, landing pages, websites, email visuals, partner assets.
Evolve and guard our brand system (typography, color, illustration, motion, component libraries) across web and product-adjacent surfaces.
Turn complex AI features into clear, conversion-ready visuals (diagrams, product mockups, short motion snippets).
Rapidly prototype A/B test variants; ship multiple creative angles per week.
Build reusable templates for speed (social sets, launch kits, webinar packs, sales one-pagers).
Collaborate on campaign concepts end-to-end: insight → moodboard → concept → production → iteration.
Maintain a tidy Figma workspace (components, tokens, documentation) so others can self-serve.
What Success Looks Like
Enhancing our designs to build thought-leadership as a bold brand within AI/SaaS.
Asset turnaround under 48 hours for priority requests; weekly creative batch drops.
A cohesive brand system used across marketing and sales with near-zero rework.
Who You Are
6+ years hands-on design experience in SaaS/AI (agency or in-house).
You know the category patterns and how to break them.
Exceptional taste with refined typography, layout discipline, and selective restraint.
Deep interest in current design trends in tech/SaaS/AI; you have references at your fingertips.
Not afraid to be bold. You can defend strong creative while staying coachable.
Fast-paced, passionate, easy to work with. Low-ego collaborator who communicates crisply.
Tools: Figma & WordPress/Elementor power user; Adobe Illustrator as needed.
Bonus: light motion (After Effects or Figma video exports).
Bonus Points
2–4+ years in marketing/advertising environments (performance creative, concepting, storytelling).
Ability to produce quick micro-motion (feature reveals, UI walkthroughs, ad loops).
Understanding of performance marketing basics (hook hierarchy, thumb-stop, offer framing, mobile-first).
Experience building componentized design systems for marketing.
