This is a Senior Application Support Engineer position working in a fully remote environment with East Coast hours.
We are seeking an experienced professional to provide technical direction and guidance for various application / infrastructure activities supporting the business applications, processes & procedures across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in architectural discussions and evaluate the applicability and usefulness of proposed solutions.
* Support and implement solutions, ensuring successful introduction across the organization and with clients.
* Perform technical analysis and prepare recommendations as needed.
* Liaise across functional areas, including business units, IT departments, and vendors.
The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of technical skills, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to facilitate decision-making and arbitration. They will also be self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks accordingly.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
* 5+ years of related Production support experience, preferably in the securities or financial services industry.
* Programming/Scripting Skills in Java, Python, C++, Django, etc.
* Experience with App/Networking Monitoring Tools such as Splunk, Appdynamics, Prometheus, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and Lean.
* Business knowledge of Securities, Fund Accounting, Collateral, and Tri-Party Repo.
* Experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Virtual, MQ, Database, Network, and Service Management.
