We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager to be based in Suriname, you will support the Project Manager in overseeing and executing the portfolio of camp management services for our client in Suriname. This role involves assisting with the management of operations, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and maintaining high-quality service delivery. The Deputy Project Manager will cover the Project Manager's responsibilities during rotations and facilitate all information and management activities to support the project's Scope of Work (SOW) objectives. Job Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in leading the execution of services, including camp management, operation, maintenance, laundry services, pest control, and catering services. Ensure all services are delivered to the highest standard and in accordance with client requirements. Act as the primary point of contact in the Project Manager's absence, ensuring continuity of operations. Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of a skilled team of managers and supervisors. Facilitate regular team meetings and provide ongoing support and guidance to staff. Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans to enhance team performance. Establish and maintain effective communication lines with clients, local authorities, and internal stakeholders. Coordinate with focal points and supervisory structures to streamline operations and ensure cohesive service delivery. Ensure compliance with all contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and environmental standards. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery. Provide regular comprehensive reports to clients and RA senior management, including updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions. Optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence. Ensure the effective utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery. Ensure all necessary safety protocols are in place and adhered to by all team members EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: University degree in management, business administration, contract administration, engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, contract management, or camp management services. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams in a challenging environment.
