Offer Description
The available quota for this post-doctoral fellowship is 24 months. It will be awarded for 12 months and may be renewed for an additional 12‑month period, depending on the fellow's performance. According to current regulations, fellows may be replaced even before 12 months if they withdraw or their performance is incompatible with what was proposed in the work plan.
The scholarship will be supervised by the research coordinator – Maria Encarnação Beltrão Sposito, a professor at the São Paulo State University's Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT-UNESP) in Presidente Prudente – but the selected candidate must be open to working and communicating with all researchers on the team (see https://bv.fapesp.br/en/auxilios/118867 )
The selected candidate will be based in Presidente Prudente, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, but must be available to travel frequently to conduct fieldwork in the São Paulo metropolitan area, Mossoró (Rio Grande do Norte state) and Chapecó (Santa Catarina state).
Foreign candidates are welcome, but it is important that the candidate has at least a basic command of the Portuguese language, given the predominantly qualitative nature of the methodology to be developed, which requires dialogue between the researcher and the research subject.
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
