Home Care Scheduler Job Description
Manage caregiver schedules, call-outs, and no-shows to ensure continuous client coverage. This includes handling inbound scheduling calls and texts from caregivers, clients, and agencies.
Responsibilities include:
* Proactively identifying coverage gaps and resolving scheduling conflicts in real-time.
* Documenting updates accurately in the system to avoid missed calls or service disruptions.
* Collaborating with teammates to ensure smooth handoffs across shifts and 24/7 coverage.
Key qualifications for this role include:
* 1-2+ years of experience in U.S. healthcare operations, patient coordination, or provider support roles.
* Proven experience speaking with physicians, clinic staff, or healthcare providers.
* Familiarity with EMR/scheduling systems.
* Tech-savvy and quick to learn new platforms; comfortable working with AI-driven tools.
The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to resolve urgent scheduling conflicts. Additionally, they should have experience working with U.S.-based teams in a fully remote role setup and be bilingual (Spanish a plus).
