Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
We are seeking a remote full-time Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with 5+ years of software development experience. Candidates must have a strong background in React.js and experience with either Golang, Node.js, or Java, with a strong desire to adopt Golang as the primary back-end technology.
In this position, you will play a foundational role in building the core platform that enables power utilities to shift from decades-old legacy systems into an AI-native future. Candidates must bring working proficiency with AI tools and APIs to ensure seamless integration of intelligent functionality into the client's products.
This role requires strong coding fundamentals, system design capability, and the mindset of a builder who thrives in a startup environment. You will work in small, agile teams reporting directly to the CTO, collaborating closely with AI engineers, security leaders, and product managers. Together, you will build and deliver AI-native services delivered at startup speed.
Main Responsibilities:
* Front-End Development: Build, implement, and maintain front-end applications
* Back-End Architecture & Development: Design, implement, and maintain APIs, services, and distributed systems that form the backbone of the OS
* AI Integration: Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate models, embeddings, and agent services into back-end systems. Operate AI APIs, ensuring outputs are production-ready and aligned with enterprise utility requirements.
* System Modernization: Transform legacy workflows into modern, secure, scalable codebases using cloud-native best practices
* Security & Compliance: Partner with security leaders to ensure all services adhere to stringent utility-sector regulations, implementing secure coding practices by default
* Agile Delivery: Deliver features and improvements in cycles measured in weeks, balancing speed with reliability
Required Experience:
* Excellent English communication skills
* 5+ years of software engineering experience in SaaS or enterprise environments
* Strong proficiency in React, Python, and either Golang, Node.js, or Java (non-Golang developers will learn and adopt Golang on the job)
* Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality code in fast-moving teams
* BASIC PROFICIENCY WITH AI/ML TOOLING (e.g., calling APIs, integrating model outputs)
* SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF DATABASES (SQL and NoSQL), MESSAGE QUEUES, AND DISTRIBUTED ARCHITECTURES
* CLOUD-NATIVE ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* CLEAR COMMUNICATOR, ADAPTABLE, EAGER TO LEARN AND GROW AI CAPABILITIES OVER TIME
* STRONG SENSE OF OWNERSHIP AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN SMALL TEAMS
