Our Company's Business Development (BD) function is responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and executing business transactions that add new products, programs, and technologies to our Company's commercial portfolio and pipeline.
Business Development relies on building relationships and working closely with many internal functions and stakeholders, as well as potential partners and external parties.

The Executive Director, Latin America Business Development will support the LATAM region in the Established Brands, Biosimilars, and Women's Health Franchises.
She/He will influence and develop BD strategy and execute regional transactions such as collaborations, acquisitions and licensing deals that advance the company's growth objectives.
The Executive Director will work with a team of highly effective BD professionals to identify, source, and evaluate inorganic global opportunities and will lead the project management, due diligence, negotiation, and execution of BD transactions for the Latin America region.
The Executive Director, BD will establish and foster internal and external relationships that help build our Company's reputation and establish the Company as partner of choice.
The Executive Director, BD reports to the Associate Vice President, Established Brands and Regional Business Development.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Lead identification, early assessment and triage of potential licensing, partnership, and/or acquisition opportunities from a commercial, financial, economic, and strategic perspective
- Lead cross-functional team in evaluation of business development opportunities and create business case proposals to senior leadership
- Work effectively with legal, finance and scientific teams and run cross-functional due diligence of opportunities
- Structure and negotiate potential deal terms and agreements
- Conduct market analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling during identification and evaluation process, as needed
- Generate executive-level presentations for management review of potential deals
- Act as a thought leader and work collaboratively with the Regional Commercial Lead and the Established Brands and Regional BD team to develop strategy for the region
- Bring a breadth and depth of scientific/technical and business knowledge; build expert understanding of Organon's disease areas
- Establish and nurture relationships with potential partners and with key internal stakeholders in the review and consideration of potential opportunities
**Education Minimum Requirements**:
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Preferred: Advanced degree in a scientific discipline and/or MBA
**Required Experience and Skills**:
- At least 15 years overall relevant work experience
**Preferred Experience and Skills**:
- At least 8 years of experience in a Business Development role in Biotech or Pharmaceuticals, with significant number of closed deals (deal sheet required)
- Ability to work effectively in a global matrixed organization
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external audiences
- Ability to influence decisions or issues that have broad business impact
- Subject matter expert in the business development process, having led and completed deals with various structures
- Strong grasp of finance, accounting, and valuation key concepts & methodologies such as NPV, IRR, DCF, etc.
- Experience in leading cross functional teams and influencing people to deliver completed work products on time
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese
