The Credit Analyst 1 - C10 is responsible for conducting credit reviews, approval, and credit monitoring. The overall objective of this role is to manage the exposure of Citi's portfolio to local clients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conducts risk assessments and customer credit analyses, reviews financial results and peer reviews, and prepares financial projections;
- Prepares transaction approval and permit memos, conducts due diligence, creates cash flow models, and conducts sensitivity analyses;
- Escalates credit concerns/updates to risk and business managers and proposes risk mitigation measures, continuously staying informed of developments/news related to the portfolio and the covered sector and understanding Citi's credit process, policies and risk appetite;
- Assists in preparing portfolio review and conducting stress tests. Builds working relationships with multiple teams across the bank, including offerings, coverage, and product teams;
Skills and Competencies**:
- Experience in financial analysis, accounting, and valuation;
- Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance, financial modeling, credit and banking products, credit analysis, risk assessment, and transaction execution;
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and oral communication Proven ability to work with little guidance and in a team;
- Capacity to work under pressure and comply with tight deadlines;
- Manages time and priorities effectively;
- Knows when to escalate issues.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years prior experience in a financial institution with a focus on credit analysis and spreading software;
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial regulations, financial products, and credit analysis;
- Ability to analyze business and personal financial statements with respect to GAAP and Citibank policies.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree/university degree or equivalent experience;
- Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus;
- Knowledge of MS Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).**Job Family Group**:
