How you'll make an impact:
1. Grow the transient overvoltageexpertisewithin the DTR Liquid team, covering both internal winding-induced transients and external waveform-driven phenomena. Leadership of Transient domain in Oil immersed transformers technology team.
2. Lead R&D initiatives and contribute to projects related to transient protection of distribution transformers
3. Reinforce and expand transient calculations capabilities within common design systems and other internal design platforms. Collaborate with software and design teams to embed transient behavior modeling into parametric design tools
4. Assessment of Electrical Stresses Due to TransientOvervoltage'sand Determination of Suitable Design Criteria for Insulation Structure.
5. Work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers, factory teams, and global stakeholders to ensure alignment of transient mitigation strategies within Liquid Distribution Transformers
6. Contribute to IP disclosures and protection of validated solutions
7. Support onboarding and development of junior engineers in the transient and overall electrical domain, contributing to the long-term competence build-up of the team
8. Be ready to support successful completion of Technology project from overall electrical engineer domainperspective if needed
9. Location of the position to be determined upon selection of successful candidate
Your background:
10. Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
11. 4-5 years of experience in transformer design, electromagnetic transients, or high-voltage insulation systems.
12. Background in use of electrical FEM simulationor 2D circuit simulationand transient analysis methodologies
13. Basic knowledgeonthebehavior ofelectricalinsulationsincluding discharge andbreakdown phenomena intransformer oil
14. Familiarity with transformer standards (IEC, IEEE) and testing protocols
15. Initiative, creativity, "out of the box" thinking and great attention to detail
16. Collaborative, solution-orientedapproach, andstrong communicationskills
