Description Summary:
China Telecom Brazil, a non-US Company branch, is searching for an Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist to join our team in Sao Paulo responsible for billings, accounts receivable and collections
Main Responsibilities:
* Billings and assure timely and accurate invoices.
* Review customer billing discrepancies and reconcile the end of the month billings.
* Accounts receivable and negotiation of collections to include contacting customers over the phone and through email.
* Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to achieve customer dispute resolution.
* Provide accurate and up-to-date invoices to proactively answer any questions from customers about amount to be paid.
* Escalate overdue or unresolved invoices to blacklist and collections vendor including continuing to follow up on late payments from customers and sending a suspension letter.
* Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to monitor outstanding balances and payment statuses, ensuring timely collections and identifying overdue accounts.
* Responsible for making payments through online banking, ensuring proper authorization and supporting documentation are in place. Maintain accurate records of payments and coordinate with vendors as needed.
* Provide timely accounting document filing according to concerned rules and prepare necessary documentation for our partners.
* Update information in Protheus system for accurate customer service information.
* Assist outside auditor with accounting, finance and tax information.
* Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to monitor outstanding balances and payment statuses, ensuring timely collections and identifying overdue accounts.
* Assist with administrative activities as needed.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Education Needed:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar preferred
* 2+ years of experience in a business environment with AR and Collections
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Familiarity with telecommunications business a plus
* Professional customer interaction skills and experience with negotiation.
* Be able to work independently as well as working well within a team
* Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously, while prioritizing efficiently with a sense of urgency
* Ability to succeed in deadline-focused environment
* Knowledge in Protheus will be a plus
* Ability to be a pro-active self-starter, well organized, and have extreme attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with verbal, written, face-to-face and over the phone interactions with partners and all levels of staff and management in Portuguese required, English and / or Mandarin a plus.
* Flexibility to work seamlessly with global sales team in different time zones.
