This role involves strategic planning, team management, technical guidance, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineering leader with a strong background in building scalable and robust customer-facing software solutions.Where you’ll workThis role will be based in our Vancouver office. You must be willing to work in office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year.ResponsibilitiesTake an active role in the business and product strategies of Brex’s Spend Management offerings.Collaborate with product management, design, and other stakeholders to define product features and priorities.Drive the execution of the Spend Management roadmap, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.Lead and manage multiple teams of engineers, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and providing technical leadership and vision.Drive continuous improvement in software development processes and practices.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Strong technical background and understanding of software development principles.Expertise in product engineering, having driven multiple release cycles of E2E products or features2+ years leading multiple engineering teams that are strategically relatedRegularly works with XFN partners (e.g. Product Managers, UX Designers, Sales, Support, Business Development) and excels in driving alignment across numerous stakeholdersEnglish proficiency/fluency, both written and speaking (note: interviews will be conducted in English)Must be willing to work in office 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday, starting September 1st, 2025 when we open our Sao Paulo officeAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is encouraged.Experience in the FinTech industry or with financial products is a plus.Product sense and taste is a plus.LocationMust be working in Brazil at the start of rolePlease be aware, job-seekers may be at risk of targeting by malicious actors looking for personal data.
