About Our Team
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in a dynamic mental health setting. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to consumers and working closely with our multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a current LPN license to practice in the state of Alabama, and experience in a mental health setting preferred. Basic knowledge of medical terminology in psychiatric care is required, as well as familiarity with psycho-pharmacy and use of psychotropic medication with adult populations.
Responsibilities:
* Observe consumers' behavior and document observations in consumer records.
* Provide direct nursing care, including administering medications and monitoring side effects.
* Transcribe and post medication orders, acquiring medications as needed.
* Document consumer information, such as vital signs and medical history.
