Role Overview
The Latin America Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy across key Latin American markets, with a strong focus on distributor management, retail execution, and market expansion. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, building channel structures, managing key partners, driving sell-in and sell-out performance, and ensuring strong brand and product positioning at retail level. The ideal candidate has experience operating in fragmented distribution environments and scaling businesses across multiple LATAM markets.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Market Development
- Define and execute the LATAM sales strategy by country and channel.
- Identify priority markets, key accounts, and go-to-market models adapted to local realities.
- Build annual business plans, forecasts, and revenue targets by country and partner.
- Drive structured market expansion while maintaining margin discipline.
Distributor & Retail Management
- Select, onboard, and manage distributors across Latin America.
- Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, margins, assortments, and commercial terms.
- Develop joint business plans with distributors and key retail partners.
- Ensure strong in-store execution including assortment, merchandising, promotions, and training.
- Monitor inventory levels, sell-in vs sell-out, and corrective actions to avoid overstock.
Sales Execution & Performance Management
- Own regional sales targets including revenue, volume, and product mix.
- Track KPIs such as sell-in, sell-out, ASP, and inventory turns.
- Coordinate promotional calendars and seasonal programs with partners.
- Work closely with marketing and GTM teams to adapt tools and messaging locally.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the LATAM point of contact for supply chain, marketing, after-sales, and finance teams.
- Align demand forecasting with supply planning to support seasonality.
- Provide structured market feedback on products, pricing, competition, and customer needs.
Preferred Backgrounds
- Pool equipment distribution (pool cleaners, pumps, pool accessories).
- Consumer electronics or durable consumer goods with strong retail exposure.
Experience & Qualifications Required
- 7–12+ years of sales experience in Latin America with regional responsibility.
- Proven experience managing distributors and retail accounts.
- Strong understanding of retail execution and sell-out driven models.
- Fluent Spanish and Portuguese;
professional working level of English.
- Experience working with international or multinational companies.
- Willingness to travel frequently across LATAM.
Strong Plus
- Experience launching or scaling brands in Latin America.
- Background in seasonal or high-ticket consumer products.
- Experience balancing modern retail, traditional retail, and distributors.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM, BI, or sales reporting tools.
