Acu-Tech Piping Systems is seeking a proactive, and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled purchasing professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about process improvement.
As a Procurement Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our supply chain operations – from sourcing project-specific materials to managing stock replenishment. You’ll work closely with suppliers, warehouse teams, and sales staff to ensure our inventory aligns with production and customer needs.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and service providers.
Request and evaluate quotes for both standard and project-specific purchases.
Source fittings and materials to meet project timelines and technical specifications.
Place accurate purchase orders and manage deliveries/collections.
Track open purchase orders, maintain internal records, and communicate updates.
Maintain supplier data including pricing and stock levels.
Forecast stock requirements in collaboration with warehouse and sales teams.
Identify inefficiencies and offer recommendations for process improvement.
Support various procurement-related tasks as needed.
We’re seeking someone who is:
Proactive and self-motivated, with a high degree of initiative and accountability
Calm under pressure and emotionally mature
Organised, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
A clear communicator who builds relationships and navigates challenges effectively
Collaborative by nature – not competitive, but team-driven
Demonstrates leadership potential and a commitment to continuous improvement
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar procurement or purchasing role
Certification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven interpersonal and negotiation abilities
High level of numeracy and data literacy
ERP system proficiency (Exonet or similar)
Strong problem-solving skills, especially in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
Experience in manufacturing or production settings highly regarded
