The Center for Reference in Artificial Intelligence (CEREIA) is conducting an International Public Selection for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Artificial Intelligence to work at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), in Brazil, under the research line “AI in Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Support”.
CEREIA is one of the Applied Research Centers in Artificial Intelligence (ARC-AI) that received support from FAPESP, the São Paulo Research Foundation, after being selected by a Call for Proposals jointly organized by FAPESP, MCTI (the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation) and CGI.br (the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee).
The fellowship is funded by FAPESPunder an initial two-year contract, supervised by one or more CEREIA researchers. The fellowship may be extended for an additional year, depending on the fellow’s performance and the availability of funds.
Brazilian and international researchers who have obtained a doctoral degree within the last seven years, either in Brazil or abroad, with outstanding performance in a research area related to the fellowship’s activities, are eligible to apply.
Applications will be accepted until September 2, 2025.
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
