About the Job:
* We are seeking a skilled Power Control Specialist to implement, configure, and maintain advanced power management platforms for real-time monitoring and control of power generation units and transmission assets.
* Supporting the delivery of reliable and efficient power services is crucial, and this role plays a critical part in ensuring frequency and voltage regulation through power management functionalities.
* Maintenance is key in keeping our systems running smoothly; as such, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on software applications to ensure optimal performance in both generation and transmission environments.
* In collaboration with the development team, you will act as a liaison between clients and technical stakeholders, ensuring that customizations and applications adhere to set technical specifications.
* You will provide expert support and training to operational and engineering teams, enhancing their knowledge and skills to effectively utilize power management tools.
* The validation of data models is an essential aspect of your role, ensuring accuracy and consistency in power system operations.
* Closely working with SCADA system teams, you will facilitate seamless integration and coordination between different systems.
* You will be responsible for adjusting network and generation applications in real-time, ensuring prompt responses to changing operational conditions.
* Create and validate DTS (Dispatcher Training Simulator) models, conducting thorough testing and verification with customers.
* Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for optimizing generation dispatch, transmission flows, and overall system efficiency.
* In addition to individual responsibilities, you will provide valuable support to project teams by assisting with troubleshooting, application data modeling, and implementing effective solutions.
* Maintain organized project documentation, including technical reports and drawings, to ensure transparency and accountability.
Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field is required.
* Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is mandatory.
* Proven experience in power management platforms is highly desirable.
* A strong understanding of transmission/generation system operations is necessary for success in this role.
