Patent Paralegal Project Manager

You will oversee and manage patent filing requests, working closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope. Your role involves coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance.
This is a full-time, remote position in Pacific Standard Time (PST). You must commit to working Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role as you will be working with English-speaking teammates and clients.
* Prepare all documents required in connection with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Proactively initiate responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinate filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Monitor all assigned cases and proactively ensure that all related deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patent Filing Preparation
Develop and prepare all necessary documents for patent filing, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Communication and Coordination
Effectively communicate with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
3. Quality Assurance and Deadline Management
Ensure all projects meet high-quality standards and deadlines are met.
4. Project Management
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing resources effectively.
Essential Skills and Required Experience:
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A successful track record of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
