Role Summary:
Responsible for driving light trucks to transport and deliver goods between destinations.
Responsibilities:
Operate forest harvesting machines for tree felling, debarking, cutting into logs, stacking wood (Harvester), or removing wood from the plot and stacking logs on the indicated transporter following all procedures and standards;
Perform equipment checklists, visually inspect, and test controls at the start of each shift, requesting mechanic assistance for non-conformities;
Report any irregularities or signs that compromise machine operation to the immediate supervisor, next shift operator, or mechanic to ensure smooth operation and maintenance;
Inform operational conditions to the next shift operator or record in the Logbook if no operator is available, including all important information about the equipment and operation;
Participate in safety dialogues (DDS) and perform auto-stretching exercises during operation. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the equipment;
Ensure compliance with quality parameters indicated by the company for cutting (stump height, log length, alignment, bundling) and loading (construction of pillows, respecting length, height, alignment, and cleanliness of piles);
Maintain a harvesting pattern that allows post-cutting regrowth;
Record shift activities in the Komatsu MaxiXplorer system, ensuring reliable information, starting the shift with correct registration, and closing it at the end;
Monitor machine indicators (oil level, temperature, etc.) and calibrations (Harvester: roller pressure, blades, sensors; Forwarder: crane calibration, ramp) to prevent productivity and quality loss;
Know and comply with the company's Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment policies, ensuring adherence to standards.
Requirements:
Desirable High School diploma or technical course (Mechanical, Agricultural, Forestal, or related);
Basic computer knowledge;
Forest machinery operation course;
Willing to relocate to the work site.
