This position provides administration, office, program/project, and technical support in a confidential and professional environment for a diverse population of current and prospective college students.Additional InformationJob End Date: 5/16/2026Essential Functions50% - Provides professional student services support and technical assistance to a diverse population of students with disabilities including: Assisting students, and others, via email, phone, and in person with general DRS and FERPA process information and DRS Connect applications; Providing direct DRS student support including appointment scheduling, equipment checkout/check-in and classroom assistance such as note taking.35% - Supports the DRS Director and DRS Analyst by following detailed and time sensitive DRS office processes and procedures guided by compliance with federal, state, local laws, and MCCCD policies.10% - Organizes, collects, and maintains confidential information including electronic files, communications, case notes, records, databases, and documentation according to established procedures.5% - Performs other duties as assigned and commensurate with the grade level of the position.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.Desired QualificationsExperience working with people with disabilitiesExperience providing customer service and a professional settingExperience organizing and maintaining highly confidential information and documentation in electronic databasesProficient at using computers and computer software to create, review, and edit documents and sheets (Microsoft, Google applications, PeopleSoft and similar)Strong attention to detailStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication skills both in person and in written materialsFluency in English and Spanish preferredSpecial Working Conditions100% in person at EMCC main campus (not eligible for remote work)May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screenHow to ApplyThe applicant is required to submit a resume showing how they meet the minimum and desired qualifications.Please ensure your materials clearly provide the following information.Clearly illustrate how prior experience, knowledge and education meet the minimum and desired qualifications for this position.Additional RequirementsPlease place your student ID number and MEID next to your name in the documents you are submitting so that your financial aid status can be verified.Student must be attending Estrella Mountain Community College during the current semester (enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits in the Fall 2025 semester).In order to qualify for a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be on file for the current award year and have eligible financial needs based on the college requirements.
