Job Description
The Applications Services Manager manages the team that provides functional and technical expertise on the SCP, overseeing design, development, deployment, evolution, and support of Global Application products to business users, including the ITIL Service Delivery process.
This role will be part of the Global Applications Service Delivery team, based in various global locations.
Key Responsibilities
SCP Product Management: overall accountability, including lifecycle management of services and products.
Support, influence, and collaborate with leadership to define strategies for IT solutions, aligning with operational excellence, transformational programs, and business capabilities.
Maintain awareness of industry directions for products and services in the SCP area; define new, cost‑effective solutions or optimize existing ones.
Service management with third‑party vendors based on operational excellence; overall accountability for service metrics (SLAs, availability, performance, etc.).
Ensure Service Continuity strategy is in place, including DR simulations and tests per Mars Inc. standards.
Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on all demand progress.
Development management with third‑party vendors, overall accountability on development metrics.
Escalation point for business demands, working with team and stakeholders to address requirements.
Sustain the user community, develop key users, functional experts, and product owners.
Engage and collaborate with other teams (Platform, Database, Security, Processing, Deployment, Development, BCF towers in BDS, etc.) to address business needs.
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT Technology or Computer Science, or Equivalent.
Knowledge / Experience
IT Background and Leadership experience.
ITIL, PMI, Agile, DevOps, Scrum certifications are a plus.
Strong SCP Knowledge, preferred in FMCG industry.
5-7 years of experience in Product and Services on SCP.
Architecture and functional knowledge on SCP.
Demonstrated line management experience and capability.
Ability to work effectively in a flexible and changing environment, manage multiple activities and priorities.
Knowledge of Mars products and environments, ideally on SCP, is a plus.
Financial and budget management experience.
