Job summary
This position will be based in the Salvador, Bahia.
External fulfillment works with the supply chain and retail teams to prioritize potential solutions, coordinates the integration with the third parties and manages the daily operations.
This individual is the owner who ensures the external partners are complying with Amazon High Standard in terms of fulfillment quality.
You will develop expertise throughout the entire fulfillment process - including Retail, Business Development, Integration Services, Supply Chain, External Fulfillment Platform, Enterprise Integration, Transportation, Customer Service and Accounts Payable.
In taking this role, you will ensure customer-centrist policies throughout integration process.
Key job responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance and customer experience of warehouse;
- Strong commitment to and passion for customer satisfaction;
- Manage the daily, tactical relationship with third party logistics vendors, including managing their performance and drive improvements;
- Resolve logístical, operational, and systems issues that arise by working with vendors and various Amazon teams;
- Maintain the knowledge and implement improvements in inbound, inventory and outbound practices within the fulfillment center;
- Work closely with other support teams (Safety & Security Manager, HR, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, IT Manager) to build and secure support of resources for projects and initiatives;
- Maintain knowledge of our carrier's shipping policies;
- Liaison with Customer Service team to provide operational process knowledge;
- Coordinate receive problem resolution, including tracking issues and corresponding with internal support teams;
- Assess orders or shipments stuck in processing;
- Dig deep into data to determine root cause of defects;
- Aid in negotiating vendor contracts;
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures;
- Manage the 3PL metrics for reporting to corporate Sr.
Leadership teams;
- Provide expertise on Brazil operations/transportation and best practices;
- Ability to work with technology to develop innovative solutions and to work independently and in a team environment;
- Well-rounded experience in continuous improvement by influencing decisions and driving projects across multiple groups in an organization.
- Degree in Engineering, Operations or related fields, strong consideration will be given to experience in external relationship management, preferably in Operations (manufacturing, production or distribution environment);
- Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons;
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations;
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills, including the ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights
- Experience with EDI messaging, SQL query writing and experience with BI systems;
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification or Training
- Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple facilities
