100% remote Contractor / PJ EST Timezone Fluent English Required Technical Focus: Heavy experience with: MS SQL Cloud‑managed databases, specifically: AWS RDS Azure Hyperscale / Elastic Pools Proven experience with: Database migrations (on‑prem → cloud, cloud → cloud, or cross‑cloud) Designing migration strategies, understanding risks, and mitigation Strong automation mindset: Infrastructure as Code Templates, scripting, CI/CD Developer‑style thinking applied to database work Key Expectations: Not just maintenance: This person must design, scale, and modernize database infrastructure. Strong communication skills: Able to clearly articulate designs, tradeoffs, and decisions. Observability is critical: Metrics, performance visibility, dashboards, and proactive diagnostics. Supports broader goal of self‑service troubleshooting for internal teams.
