Job Title: Infrastructure Automation Engineer
Key Role Overview:
The Lead Infrastructure Automation Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving an enhanced developer experience and automation-driven approach for the adoption of public and hybrid cloud computing environments in a secure manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Develop and enforce CIS security standards for Windows and Linux operating systems utilizing Chef or similar configuration management tools.
* Deliver new cloud services to the organization while simplifying and improving service consumption and operational management.
* Utilize Python REST APIs to develop zero-touch provisioning, patching, change, and decommissioning of VMs, Kubernetes, PaaS databases for lifecycle management of hybrid cloud resources.
* Develop REST APIs in Python using BDD methodology and implement public cloud security guardrails.
* Collaborate with application teams for proof of technology in public cloud computing environments.
* Design and engineer hybrid cloud infrastructure provisioning workflows leveraging continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD) running on Jenkins and/or other CI/CD tools.
* Partner with application teams and drive resolution of sophisticated technical problems across infrastructure and application stacks.
* Design, engineer, and implement infrastructure as code with API-first and microservices-based approaches for public cloud services.
* Leverage internal and external resources to develop, advance, and retain talent.
* Review current processes and identify opportunities for automation and build common frameworks in an agile manner that cultivates adoption of automation across all layers.
* Groom Jira features and stories to improve reliability and reduce support incidents for global infrastructure.
