Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health is recruiting for a **Cientista Sr** to work in **São José dos Campos.**
This person will define the strategy and execution of analytical project on an Advanced Process Control (APC) and Real Time Release initiatives applied to all franchises portfolio of New Consumer Health Company supporting Latin America in regional and global projects. This includes defining the analytical strategy, execution planning, timing definition, resource requirements and interdependencies to achieve with excellence the project goals.
This individual will also write and review technical documents including analytical method assessments, method validation / transfer protocols, and reports in compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Lead projects for analytical optimization through the implementation of Advanced Process Control and/or Real Time Release techniques to improve the quality parameters measured in process/quality control routine addressing also efficiency in the routine of lab activities;
- Ensure that methodologies follows the standards demanded by internal quality policy and regional legislation prior to transfer to Quality Control labs;
- Define analytical goals, ensure accurate partners are defined and informed about every initiative;
- Lead complexity and to work collaboratively in partnership with the multifunctional areas;
- Collaborate optimally with project members following priorities, checkpoints and timelines in support of objective;
- Work well with the internal organization (J&J areas) and with the global teams in forums related to projects and processes;
- Find opportunities to suggest improvements on the processes in a pro-active way;
- Communicate analytical leadership on issues observed on the routine.
**Qualifications**
- Strong analytical background in HPLC, UPLC, GC and dissolution;
- Experience with method validation and method transfer;
- Solid knowledge on method validation and method transfer;
- Knowledge about the regulations and/or guidelines related to method development & validation for drug products, drug substance and/or cosmetics;
- Strong technical writing skills;
- Experience RAMAN and NIR applied to real time release for drug products and/or cosmetics are considered a strong differential;
- Experience performing chemometric and statistical analysis is desirable;
- Advanced level of English (oral and written communication);
- Intermediate or higher levels of Spanish can be considered a differential;
- Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree and 5 years of analytical chemistry experience OR a Master's degree and 3 years of experience OR a PhD is required. A focused degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry is helpful.
