We are seeking a Senior Cloud AI/ML Engineer with a \"cloud-first\" mindset to join our growing team. In this role, you won't just build models; you will architect end-to-end intelligent systems that redefine how we handle financial data. You will be responsible for analyzing manual credit request processes and identifying opportunities to automate them using cutting-edge cloud AI services.
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between raw data and actionable business intelligence, building tools that ingest high-stakes data from credit agencies, analyze it through sophisticated AI pipelines, and present it via human-in-the-loop dashboards. You will work closely with engineering leadership to turn manual bottlenecks into scalable, automated cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
* Process Architecture: Analyze existing credit request workflows to identify automation opportunities using cloud-native AI/ML solutions.
* Intelligent Data Ingestion: Design and implement processes utilizing Document Intelligence (OCR/Form parsing), and Web Search integration to gather and structure fragmented data.
* Third-Party Data Synthesis: Build tools to ingest and analyze complex results from credit agencies (e.g., D&B, Experian, Equifax) to drive automated decision-making.
* Custom Tooling: Develop custom software bridges to fill gaps between standard cloud AI services and specific business requirements.
* Human-in-the-Loop Systems: Create intuitive dashboards that visualize AI-driven analysis, allowing human reviewers to audit and approve automated recommendations.
* Cloud Deployment: Deploy and maintain robust MLOps pipelines in a cloud environment, ensuring high reliability and security for sensitive financial data.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate technical AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless data flow.
Technology Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a heavy focus on Cloud AI/ML implementations.
* Cloud-First Expertise: Proven experience with Vertex AI (GCP), Azure AI, or AWS SageMaker, specifically utilizing high-level AI services (Document AI, Search/Discovery, etc.).
* Data Integration: Proficiency in building API integrations and data pipelines that handle structured and unstructured data from external financial vendors.
* Python Mastery: Expert-level Python skills, including experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks for building agentic AI workflows.
* Visualization: Experience building data dashboards using tools like Streamlit, Looker, or custom React-based frontend components.
* Security Mindset: Deep understanding of handling sensitive PII (Personally Identifiable Information) within cloud environments.

* Agile Learner: A commitment to staying current with the rapid pace of LLM, RAG, and Agentic AI developments.
* AI Tooling: Proficiency with AI-first engineering approaches and tooling is a plus. If you are familiar with the Cognition platform with Windsurf and Devin, that is even better.
* Certifications: Google, Azure or AWS Cloud AI certifications are a big plus!
