Turn Your Love of Viral Videos Into Income

Freelance Viral Video Scout (Remote – Global)

Company: Caters Media Group

Payment: Fixed fee per signed video

About Us

Caters Media Group is a leading international multimedia agency specialising in sourcing and licensing compelling video content to major global media outlets. We work with broadcasters, publishers and digital platforms around the world — and we’re always looking for the next viral moment before it hits the mainstream.

Many of our most successful scouts are people who already spend time discovering trending videos online. If you regularly spot viral moments before they explode across the internet, this could be an opportunity to turn that instinct into income.

The Opportunity

We are looking for motivated, self-driven individuals to join our global network of freelance Viral Video Scouts.

Your role will involve identifying compelling real-life videos online and helping us connect with the original creators so the content can be licensed to global media outlets.

Your responsibilities include:

Discover viral, newsworthy or emotionally compelling videos

Identify and verify the original creator of the content

Introduce creators to the opportunity to have their video licensed through Caters Media Group

Build rapport and, where required, speak with creators via phone or video call to explain how licensing works

Help secure signed agreements allowing Caters Media Group to represent the video

You earn a fixed fee for every video you successfully introduce that results in a signed licensing agreement.

No targets.

No fixed hours.

Work from anywhere.

Work when you want.

How It Works

You complete initial training with our team

We teach you what makes video content commercially valuable

We guide you on verifying ownership and introducing creators to the licensing opportunity

After training, you work independently identifying opportunities

You receive a fixed payment for each successfully signed video.

Your earnings depend on both the number of videos you secure and the quality and suitability of those submissions for licensing.

A fixed fee is paid once a creator has signed a licensing agreement with Caters Media Group for a video you introduced, and the video meets our internal quality and editorial guidelines.

All video submissions and creator agreements are subject to verification and approval by Caters Media Group before payment is issued.

This role is offered on an independent freelance basis and does not constitute employment with Caters Media Group.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need formal qualifications — but you do need:

A sharp eye for viral and newsworthy video content

Confidence communicating with content creators

A strong standard of spoken and written English

The ability to speak with creators via phone or video call to explain licensing opportunities clearly and professionally

Self-motivation and initiative

Good time management

This role is ideal for people who:

Follow trending videos across multiple platforms daily

Enjoy spotting viral moments before they reach mainstream media

Understand the difference between original footage and reposted content

Enjoy identifying compelling real-life stories and moments

Are comfortable communicating with new people

Want flexible earning potential alongside other commitments

Are budding journalists interested in developing their news sense and editorial instincts

Work in journalism, media, or content creation and are looking to generate additional income alongside their existing work

If you regularly spot videos before they reach major news outlets, this role could be a strong fit.
