The role of a Custom Application Developer involves designing, building and deploying custom business applications that meet the specific needs of clients. This entails leveraging the Microsoft PowerApps platform as a service suite to create tailored solutions that cater to the unique requirements of each client.
To excel in this position, one must possess proven experience in developing complex PowerApps applications and have a solid understanding of Bl design, development and maintenance of web-based applications using the Microsoft Power Platform. Additionally, familiarity with new features in Power Platform is essential, along with database development skills that encompass basic queries, views and stored procedures/functions.
A key aspect of this role is working through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including gathering and analyzing business requirements, functional and technical specifications, designing, developing, testing, and deploying the applications, and providing production support. Effective communication is also crucial, requiring the ability to document end-user work instructions, process documentation, and software documentation.
