ITTConnect is seeking a COBOL AS400 Production Support Analyst to work for a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries.

We need an experienced COBOL Developer with a strong background in legacy systems and AS/400 technologies. This role requires hands-on experience with COBOL, RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of reporting and display files, integration systems, and preferably some exposure to accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and enhance applications written in COBOL on IBM iSeries (AS/400).
* Work with RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400 to support business-critical applications.
* Design and maintain display files (DSPF) and reporting files (PRTF) for user interfaces and printed output.
* Debug and resolve issues in batch and interactive programs.
* Participate in the design and implementation of system integrations with third-party or internal applications.
* Understand and support accounting-related processes where applicable.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
* Create and maintain technical documentation
Requirements:
Mandatory:
* Proficiency in COBOL development on IBM i / AS/400 and DB2/400 and SQL.
* Strong hands-on experience in RPGLE, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE.
* Experience in creating and maintaining display files (DSPF) and printer files (PRTF).
* Understanding of job control, batch job processing, and CL programming.
Preferred:
* Experience or domain knowledge in the automotive or rental industry.
* Understanding of integration systems and data flow between platforms.
* Exposure to accounting systems/processes is a plus.
* Familiarity with modern integration (e.g., APIs, middleware) is advantageous.
* Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, or other structured development methodologies.
